What is Alpha?
Have you got questions about your life? The Alpha Course is a place to ask all the big questions of life.
The Alpha Course is open to everyone interested in exploring the meaning of life and discovering the relevance of the Christian faith. Alpha gives us an opportunity to get to know each other – followed by a video talk leading into small group discussions.
What is the Alpha evening format?
The evening begins with a meal together followed by a short video. The videos unpack the basics of the Christian faith, addressing question such as Who is Jesus? How can we have faith? and How does God guide us?
After each video there is space to talk through and look at a different question around faith and it is designed to spark conversation which will be guided by the hosts.
Why do the Alpha Course?
People come on the Alpha course for many different reasons; some have never been to church and want to investigate whether God exists, others may have attended church for some time and want to further explore the relevance of the Christian faith to their daily lives.
What does Alpha involve?
If you have never done an Alpha course, then why not come and join us? We ran an Alpha course in 2022 with very positive feedback from those who attended. Our next course will be starting on Monday 13th Janurary 2025, meeting every Monday at 6:30pm for a meal. The course will last for 8 weeks.
